Charlotte Mashaba is a Project Manager for Technology within the Grants, Innovation and Product Development Unit. She is mostly responsible for Global Health Innovation Accelerator (GHIA) related projects.

Charlotte has vast experience within the innovation ecosystem more specifically in managing technology development, knowledge transfer and commericialisation of intellectual property (IP). She was previously the regional manager of the Kwazulu-Natal Regional Office of Technology Transfer (KZN-ROTT). She has had the priviledge of contributing to dentification, evaluation, protection and commercialisation IP emanating from institutions’ IP such as University of Western Cape, Vaal University of Technology and Stellenbosch University.  Charlotte has also received invaluable experience in establishing Start-ups, providing business development support for growth and post investment management from incubators and institutions such as the Industrial Development Cooperation (IDC) and venture capital firms.
