It is hereby certified that the South African Medical Research Council Annual Performance Plan 2026/27 was
developed by the management of the South African Medical Research Council under the guidance of the
former Chairperson of the SAMRC Board, Professor Johnny Mahlangu, the current Chairperson, Professor
Tyrone Pretorius and President and CEO, Professor Ntobeko Ntusi.

The Annual Performance Plan takes into account all the relevant policies, legislation and other mandates for
which the South African Medical Research Council is responsible.

The document accurately reflects the Impact, Outcomes and Outputs which the South African Medical
Research Council will endeavour to achieve over the period 2026/27.
