9.3.1 Organisational Structure

National Minister of Health

The Administration of the SAMRC Act has been assigned to the National Minister of Health and is thus the
Executive Authority for the SAMRC. In terms of the PFMA the executive authority, in relation to a national
public entity, means the Cabinet member who is accountable to Parliament for that public entity or in whose
portfolio it falls.
