            16.  Provisions (continued)

                  Other provisions
                  The other provisions at 31 March 2026 relate to a repayment of unspent grant funds and the Department of
                  Labour assessment for the claim for occupational injury on duty assessment for 2026 (COIDA). (March 2025: The
                  other provisions relate to the Department of Labour assessment for the claim for occupational injury on duty
                  assessment for 2025 (COIDA); a repayment of unspent grant funds and building retentions).

                  Social impact bond liability
                  At 31 March 2025 the provision was recognised as the social outcomes verified by the independent verification
                  agent indicated that the outcomes have been achieved. The amount reflected was an estimate at the reporting
                  date of the amount to be repaid. The payment to the social investor was made during the financial year under
                  review after the final verification of the last quarter results of the project.
                  Provision for performance bonus
                  The performance bonus cycle was changed after discussions and agreement with the union. The Accounting
                  Authority  approved  the  change  in  bonus  cycle  which  will  result  in  payments  being  made  after  the  financial
                  year end. The amount reflected is the 2025/2026 bonus provision and the unpaid amount of the 2023/2024 and
                  2024/2025 provision for performance bonuses. The basis used for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 bonus provision
                  was approved by Minister of Health with concurrence Minister of Finance and payment will be made during the
                  2026/2027 financial year.
            17.  Deferred Income

                  The  increase  in  deferred  income  can  be  attributed  to  contract  funds  received  in  advance:  Department  of
                  Science and Technology; Department of Health; The ELMA Vaccine & Immunization Fund; Michelle & Susan
                  Dell Foundation; Global Fund; UKRI MRC; The Chan – Soon Shiong Family Foundation; Bill & Melinda Gates
                  Foundation and Wellcome Trust.
                  Included in the deferred income is funding received from the SA Government via the Emergency Fund to
                  support the national projects affected by the US Federal funding cuts.
