As Deputy Director, Beth’s role is to assist with the leadership and management of the research at HIDRU. She has an interest in implementation science and point of care testing and has extensive clinical trial experience in the unit in HIV prevention and COVID vaccine studies.

PI and Investigator of Record

Dr Spooner is a clinician and Principal Investigator at the Botha’s Hill site and oversees the clinical trials at the site including COVID, HIV and TB studies.
