Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Nelson Mandela University

Andiswa Zitho is a Project Coordinator at the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC). She is responsible for coordinating the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials’ Partnership (EDCTP) program in South Africa. Her responsibilities also include serving Grants Innovation and Product Development in building and maintaining stakeholder engagement, and monitoring projects that are funded and co-funded by EDCTP, the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) and SAMRC. Andiswa is also seconded to EDCTP Africa Office as a Project Officer, managing EU funded projects which are mainly Career Development Fellowships (CDF) grants. Prior to her current role, has been working at the SAMRC at the Burden of Disease Research Unit as a Project Coordinator, managing a national research study looking at the quality and availability of health information systems in public hospitals.

Andiswa holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Nelson Mandela University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Cape Town.
