Sivuyile is a qualified Chartered Accountant, holding a Management Advancement Programme from the Wits Business School. He has more than 13 years’ experience in public service, having joined the Western Cape Provincial Government as a State Accountant in 2002 and was in charge of the Western Cape Cultural Commission and the Western Cape Language Board’s transition from cash basis to the accrual basis of Accounting.

He later joined PetroSA’s Training Outside Public Practice (TOPP Programme) under the auspices of SAICA, earning valuable working experience in the finance field spanning Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Costing, Taxation, Internal Audit and Treasury management. He then joined Strategic Fuel Fund in 2014, spending the last 7 years as their Chief Financial Officer.

Sivuyile also has experience working in the private sector, with roles that span various industries, working as Systems Analyst, Cost Accountant, Lead Financial Accountant and Financial Services Manager at BP Southern Africa, BrandHouse and Cape Pine Forestry and Sawmilling, respectively.

Sivuyile was born in Ngcobo, a town located between Mthatha and Queenstown in the Eastern Cape. He is married with 3 kids and says that from time to time he enjoys taking to the streets as a social runner!
