Male voices dominated South African Covid-19 reporting: that has to change

SAMRC President and CEO, Professor Glenda Gray was the most visible female scientist in South African media coverage during the first six months of Covid-19.

This is according to a study conducted by Marina Joubert, Lars Guenther and Lili Rademan from Stellenbosch University who investigated the South African media's use of expert sources during the first six months of the pandemic.
