Ms. Andiswa Nene is a Project Coordinator for Scholarship Programmes in the Research Capacity Development (RCD) Unit at the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC). She holds a BSc in Biotechnology from the University of Pretoria and a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Tshwane University of Technology.
Her early career includes experience in health innovation and policy at the Department of Science and Innovation, as well as clinical research as a data coordinator on an HIV vaccine study. Prior to joining RCD, she was a Project Coordinator in the Grants Innovation and Product Development (GIPD) Unit at SAMRC, where she managed a portfolio of health research and innovation projects funded through Strategic Health Innovation Partnerships (SHIP) and the Gates Foundation Grand Challenges.
