Jo-Anne is the Chief Administration and Finance Officer in the Research Capacity Development team. In this role, she provides executive support to the Divisional Manager and oversees the unit’s administrative and financial operations. She manages programme administration for grants and scholarship portfolios and ensures effective budget and payment processes, which includes disbursements and recalls. Her work supports the efficient delivery of the team’s capacity development initiatives.

Jo-Anne joined the SAMRC in January 2010, appointed as a project administrator for the Self-Initiated Research Grants. She then moved to the Research Capacity Development Division on 01 December 2022.
