Lerato is currently a support intern within the Division of Research Capacity Development, providing support in programme administration, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement for the scholarships programme. She is passionate about advancing health research, mental health and awareness and promoting capacity development within the scientific community.

Lerato Hlatshwayo holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Physiology and Psychology (with distinction) from North-West University and a certificate in Research Management from SARIMA Digital Campus.
