Thandolwethu currently serves as a Project Coordinator in the Research Capacity Development Division, where she is responsible for grant programmes/career awards.

Prior to joining RCD, she spent two years within the SAMRC’s Technology Transfer Office and the Grants, Innovation and Product Development (GIPD) Unit, working under the Global Health Innovation Accelerator (GHIA) and the Medical Device & Diagnostic Innovation Cluster (MeDDIC) Programmes.

Thandolwethu holds a BSc in Biotechnology from the University of the Western Cape and has completed specialized training in Programme Evaluation, Research Commercialization, and Intellectual Property Management.
