Asiphe is a research coordinator at the SAMRC’s Gender and Health Research Unit and holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of the Western Cape. She joined the unit in 2020 and has largely worked in coordinating The National Femicide, Male and Children Study which is the second phase of the Injury Mortality Survey. She has broad research interests which include homicides, femicide prevention, mental health, GBV, prevention of VAC & VAW to name the few.
