Jane is a postdoctoral fellow in the Gender and Health Research Unit and a research associate at Nelson Mandela University. Her research interests are on mental health and VAWG amongst young people and she publishes on these topics. Jane’s current focus is on VAWG prevention interventions – where she seeks to promote inclusion of the intervention beneficiaries in the design of these interventions. Her most recent study investigated the possibility of co-developing adolescents’ participatory VAWG prevention interventions online. Her current work is looking at understanding IPV among young refugee communities in Durban. Jane holds a PhD in Psychology from the Nelson Mandela University.
