Jani is a postdoctoral fellow in the Gender and Health Research Unit and is based in Cape Town. Jani holds a PhD in Psychiatry from the University of Stellenbosch. She is currently working on the Rape Impact Cohort Evaluation study. Her interests include childhood trauma exposure, sexual violence, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the epigenetics of psychiatric disorders.
