Thobeka is a recruiter/Research assistant for the RICE study, based in Durban. She has a BA Degree majored in Psychology in Communication Science, and a post grad diploma is Social and Behavioural Studies: HIV. She joined Gender Health Research Unit in 2014 when the Rice Project started, her duties include recruitment of rape exposed participants and recruitment of rape non exposed participants, conducting interviews with participants as well as retention of these participants.
