Dr Mary Kasule has extensive experience in Research Ethics Administration gained over the past 15 years. As secretary to Ethics Committees in Botswana, she worked on strengthening the national ethics review capacity through training and establishing Research Ethics Committees and Community Advisory Boards, as well as developing ethics review regulatory oversight frameworks. She has worked as a Research Officer on the MARC project (Mapping Research Ethics Capacity) that was coordinated by the Council on Health Research for Development (COHRED) based in Geneva, Switzerland.  She is currently working on IFGeneRA H3Africa ELSI Project led by the University of Cape Town, in collaboration with Baylor Children’s Clinical Center of Excellence in Botswana. She is co-Chair of the H3Africa Ethics & Community Engagement Working Group and Director Research on the EthiXPERT Board of Directors, a non-Profit Company.
