Ms. Andiswa Nene serves Grants Innovation and Product Development as a Project Coordinator. She is a BSc Biotechnology graduate from the University of Pretoria who is currently pursuing a post graduate qualification in pharmaceutical sciences at Tshwane University of Technology. Post her undergraduate degree she was exposed to innovation and policy development at the Department of Science and Innovation where she dealt with health innovation programmes that were seeking to address the burden of diseases. A couple months thereafter she immersed herself in medical research where she served at a Clinical Research Site for an HIV vaccine study. 

Prior to joining SAMRC, she served in a co-ordinator role at the Technology Innovation Agency in the Commercialisation division where she dealt with project investments approvals in various sectors.
