Anthea serves the Grants Innovation and Product development Unit Team as a Chief Administration officer, Finance. She is responsible for the financial management support to the unit with reference to budget management; processing of payments on the JD Edwards System (project disbursement, payments of invoices, etc.); project and general office administration and co-ordination and research support.

Anthea joined the SAMRC on 16 January 1995, appointed as a Junior Administrator in the National Trauma Research Programme. She then moved to the Information Services Division in October 1997, to the Biomedical Informatics Research Division on 14 July 2005 and then to the Grants Innovation and Product Development Unit on 12 November 2011.
