Hilary serves Grants Innovation and Product development (GIPD) Team as a Research Grants Administrative officer. She is responsible for the Self-initiated Research Grants Unit as well as the Global Health Innovation Accelerator Unit, to provide support to the units with reference to general administration, project administration and procurement: supplies, services, local and international travel on the JD Edwards System, processing of subsistence and travel payments; research publication outputs and other related matters.

Hilary joined the SAMRC in January 2023 and brings with her many years’ experience in the higher educational institutions such as University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University.
