Manyeke Sengwana joined the SAMRC as a public health scientist. She is currently a project manager for the Self-Initiated Research Grants in the GIPD Unit. Dr Sengwana worked in the public and private health care sectors across SA for over 15 years. She was a researcher in different institutions of Higher Learning in South Africa for over decade. A public health researcher and academic, Dr Sengwana has written several publications and reports which appeared in many national and international specialised journals including the American Journal of Medicine. Besides her scientific work at SAMRC, she also serves as a board member of the Office of Health Standards Compliance under the National Department of Health.
