Oelfah is a Project Manager in the Grants, Innovation and Product Development Unit at the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC). She joined the SAMRC in 2012 as an MSc student and worked as a Senior Scientist at the Biomedical Research and Innovation Platform (BRIP) before transitioning into her current role. She holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Stellenbosch University (2021) and has undertaken further training in intellectual property management through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
She works closely with principal investigators, institutional partners, and funders to support both pre- and post-award grant processes, while fostering strategic partnerships. Her portfolio spans strategic and innovation programmes, including intellectual property management and technology transfer.
