Sbongile serves Grants Innovation and Product Development Unit as a Project Leader. She is responsible for Project Management, Facilitation of Request for Applications (RFAs), Stakeholder liaison and contribution to strategic projects. She has received training in Project Management and Intellectual Property Management.

Sbongile joined the SAMRC in February 2022. She was previously employed by the Technology Innovation Agency. She brings with her extensive experience in administration and managing grants projects from different strategic technology areas.
