During her time as an intern (through the DSI-HSRC Internship Programme) within the Environment and Health Research Unit (EHRU) at the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC), Ms Amy Sheldon provided support related to public engagement strategies, science communication tools and the like.

Since completing the internship, Ms Sheldon holds the position of Project Leader in the Environment and Health Research Unit (EHRU). Her expertise is in stakeholder engagement and research translation.

Ms Amy Sheldon has a BA degree in English Language and Literature, as well as an MA degree in Film Studies – both obtained from the University of Cape Town (UCT).
