The SAMRC is the largest local health research funder in South Africa for internal and external health research programmes, including those focused on health innovation, through strategic partnerships and grants, and strategic research initiatives. RIMS will administer the research funding process through the full research lifecycle from proposal development, internal pre-award administration, internal and external funding applications, administering grant calls, contracts administration and post-award activities.
