
Ms Sanele Khoza was recently appointed as a Scientist at the SAMRC/PUDAC and is currently pursuing her PhD studies at the University of the Western Cape, with her research supported by the SAMRC/PUDAC. She joined PUDAC’s Molecular Genetics Laboratory in 2017 as a National Research Foundation (NRF) intern. She obtained her BSc degree in Genetics and Biochemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in 2015, followed by a BSc Honours degree in Genetics at the same institution. In 2018, she enrolled for a Master of Science degree in the Genetics Department at the UKZN School of Life Sciences. During the second year of her MSc, she received funding through the SAMRC/RCD internship program. Ms. Khoza has since developed expertise in molecular genetics techniques, animal data analysis, and bioinformatics software.
