Dr Van Coller has research experience in various fields of Molecular Biology – Virology, Microbiology, Immunology, Human Genetics & Bioinformatics – and has been involved in various projects relating to Human Immunodeficiency virus, Tuberculosis, COVID-19 and Inborn Errors of Immunity. Ansia obtained her PhD from Stellenbosch University in 2022. Her PhD research focused on the use of next generation sequencing and in vitro immune function assessment to diagnose inborn errors of immunity in children presenting with severe Tuberculosis. Ansia’s current research is focused on the optimization of various next generation sequencing methods and establishment of bioinformatic pipelines.
