Arrie is a registered research psychologist with sound experience in understanding and describing the role of lay health workers in addressing health issues in low-income contexts. He also has a keen interest in formative programme evaluations and in conducting qualitive evidence syntheses (QES). He is currently supporting the establishment of a QES hub at the SAMRC and involved in the Evidence2Decision project of the Health Systems Research Unit. The E2D project aims among other things, to promote the use of evidence in policy decisions in South Africa.
