Webinar: Methodological and technological advancements for research on climate change and health

Antonio Gasparrini is a Professor of Biostatistics and Epidemiology based at the Department of Department of Social & Environmental Health Research at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in the United Kingdom (U.K.).

His research interests include methodology and applied research in particular areas relating to epidemiology, public health topics, as well as software development. Professor Gasparrini leads the Environment & Health Modelling (EHM) Lab at LSHTM, a research team with complementary expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, data science, and climatology. Additionally, Professor Gasparrini is the Co-Director of the Centre for Data and Statistical Science for Health, a Centre that brings 
together LSHTM’s established expertise in statistical methodology with novel research opportunities in health data science. Moreover, he is a champion of open science and reproducible research, having contributed to the implementation of statistical methods in freely available software and with the release of code in public repositories.
