Ms Funani trained as a biomedical scientist and completed her Master’s degree in Pharmacology at the University of Cape Town. Since then she has developed expertise in monitoring and evaluation and project management. She is currently working on the South Africa Demographic and Health Survey 2016 (SADHS 2016), Evolving risk factors for cancers in African Populations (ERICA-SA) and the National Cause-of-Death Validation Study (COD-Validate).
