Yonela is a Senior Scientist in the Water, Sanitation & Society program under the Environment and Health Research Unit (EHRU). She has a background in environmental hydrology, which gives her a solid understanding of how human activities affect water quality and availability, and how this, in turn, impacts human health. Her research focuses on the links between water quality, pollution, and community health - especially in under-resourced settings. Yonela is passionate about the sustainable use of water resources and advocates for fair and equitable access to clean, safe water for all.
