Natasha Naidoo is a Specialist Scientist at the Environment and Health Research Unit (E&HRU). She has a PhD from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She has several research interests that focus on environmental risk factors associated with climate change that cause health consequences in South Africa's most vulnerable populations. One of her main interests is how high temperatures and heatwaves affect vulnerable groups. She is also interested in how air pollution affects the health of the community, especially children. Another research interest is the link between environmental risk factors and mental health affects in unemployed youth. With her vast and ever-increasing research interests in climate change, Natasha Naidoo hopes to use her research skills to make a positive impact on vulnerable communities.
