Nomfundo Mahlangeni is a Scientist in the Environment and Health Research Unit (E&HRU) at the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC), who obtained her PhD in Chemistry – from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) – with a background in environmental chemistry. She has extensive experience in environmental pollution and human health research. Currently, her research focus is on adaptation strategies to climate change for health-environment co-benefits. Her research interests include energy transitions, water, and food security in low and middle-income countries. She is also passionate about women and children’s health research.
