Charntel Paile is a social worker with a bachelor's degree who has a strong passion for public health research and leadership. Prior to joining the MRC, she has been involved in multiple national and international public health projects as a study project coordinator, interventionist, and field staff member. Charntel has excellent skills in effectively engaging and communicating with diverse communities, and she is fluent in six local languages of South Africa. Her primary research focus is on applying community-based approaches to enhance the health and well-being of South African populations. Charntel has expertise in the content areas of Women’s Health, HIV/TB, and Gender-Based Violence.
