Clifford Gcwensa is a Community Liaison Office who do community engagement with stakeholders and communities, represent the HIDRU at ward, district, and Provincial level. He provides research updates at War rooms, Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OSS) Ward AIDS Council (WAC), District AIDS Council (DAC), Provincial Council of AIDS(PCA) and Civil Society events which included getting support for clinical trials/research prior to study conduct. Clifford also train, mentor and capacitate CRAs and FWs. He further ensures that sites have adequate documentation of community mobilization efforts. I am one of the contact persons to share community plans, recruitment and retention strategies and reporting the progress at international study conference calls and meetings and submits annual reports and plans to networks using Redcap.
