Sindisiwe Hlangu is a research assistant who holds a Bachelor of Education Degree who is also enrolled for a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health. She is currently involved in an observational study in which they are documenting the treatment, pregnancy and infant outcomes in women treated for DR-TB during their pregnancy. She is also involved in pharmacokinetic studies exploring plasma levels of bedaqualine and other second line TB drugs in these women and their infants; and in another study exploring the microbiomes in these women and their infants. Lastly, she is involved in the Treatment journey of People Living with HIV study where she identifies and enroll participants for the study, conduct in-depth interviews with adults and Focus Group Discussions with the adolescents. Her research interests are TB and HIV.
