Terusha Chetty is a specialist Public Health Medicine clinician and epidemiologist. Her research interests include maternal and child health with a specific focus on HIV and pregnancy and health systems strengthening over the last 10 years. She is the co-PI on the Mphatlalatsane Evaluation, a mixed methods implementation science type 2 hybrid study to determine the effect of a health systems intervention on maternal and perinatal mortality and factors that affect the uptake of the intervention during COVID-19.  She is also the PI on SisonkeMums, a study aimed to determine the safety, immunogenicity, durability, and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine amongst pregnant and breastfeeding women vaccinated as part of the Sisonke study.
