Michelle Galloway is a writer, editor, proofreader and media and communications consultant with many years of experience in the science, health and academic editing field. Highlights in her career include working as Communications Manager for the South African AIDS Vaccine Initiative, as Managing Editor of the AIDS Bulletin (which she co-founded) for the SAMRC, and as Communications Manager and M&E Officer for Strategic Evaluation Advisory and Development (SEAD) Consulting.

Since 2014 she has been freelancing and her current part-time contracts include Media Officer for the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS) and Communications Officer for HSRU. In this period she has also been involved in editing and writing projects for Stellenbosch University and the Academy of Science of South Africa.
