The SAMRC UHC/NHI Forum is an open meeting for those interested in developments, learning and plans related to the Universal Health Coverage and the National Health Insurance in South Africa and globally.
The seminar focuses on providing an update on the policy and legislative progress made in moving towards universal health coverage (UHC) through the phased implementation of National Health Insurance (NHI). The NHI Act came into effect on 15 May 2024, therefore it’s time to engage on the practical implications of this. Some details on the practical work that is being undertaken to establish and implement the institutional and organisational elements in readiness for NHI will be discussed. Join us in getting insights on the pivotal steps being taken to move towards UHC in South Africa.
